According to Choa Kok Sui, in ancient China there were 5 levels of healing. The first being massage which is often referred to as acupressure. The second level involves healing with herbs and some animal products. The third uses acupuncture and moxibustion. In the fourth level the healer uses acupuncture with the projection of chi into the needles and meridians. The fifth level, which required the highest level of skill was the projection of chi without the use of physical contact or needles. The projection of chi energy (pranic energy) without physical contact is called Medical Chi Kung in China and was a closely guarded secret in both India and China. In India Medical Chi Kung is called Pranic Healing and was the name used by Choa Kok Sui to teach this method globally.
